eURUPA
These paintings are the latest series under the title of eURUPA.
The first were exhibited at the first Ellerton Show in 1998 and were
done on the canvas reverse of discarded conveyor belt found in the
Ohakune tip.
The current eight works were exhibited at the Ellerton Gallery again but
in 2017.
These works are on wood in mixed media and are in varying sizes. One
work was sold at the show and another in April 2018 from the Penguin
Studio. Since then the remaining six paintings have been sitting on
different walls in the studio being assessed and fiddled with but are
now being worked on in a consistent manner in conjunction with the six
Whakatiwai Last Year Paintings documented in this section.
The paintings appear underneath in various positions and states and in
different sized groups but show development over the last year and a
half.
